Nowadays, it is commonplace that work ranks prominently in our hierarchy of values, we lead hectic lifestyles and professional career usually outranks other aspects of our lives. But, as the saying goes, all work and no play... well, true. It is crucial, therefore, to maintain a healthy balance between work and leisure. Otherwise we may lose out on something important and end up suffering from a burnout syndrome.

Work has evolved over the past decades and now the term work means so many different things. The traditional division between a housewife and a breadwinner is getting blurred and typical 9-to-5 jobs are also becoming obsolete. Labor market is changing at a fast pace, so you have to stay alert to keep up, you need a lot of resistance to elbow your way through the crowd and make your mark.
No matter how rewarding and exciting our job is, we all need to get away from it all form time to time. It is only natural to feel tired and frustrated so take your time to catch your breath and recharge batteries. Even one day off can work miracles. Labor Day is a splendid opportunity to celebrate. It is also a good time to analyze your professional career, draw conclusions and make plans for the future. Ask yourself whether you pursue the right path and follow your dreams. What new skills would you like to acquire? What would you like to learn?
