Female Superheroes Featured in Breast Cancer Detection Ads

Associação da Luta Contra o Cancer (ALCC) in Mozambique uses female superheroes in their ad campaign to promote self breast examinations for breast cancer prevention. These ads depict torsos of Wonder Woman, She-Hulk, Storm, and Catwoman performing breast examinations.

The ad copy states:

"Nobody’s immune to breast cancer. When we talk about breast cancer there are no women or super women. Everybody has to do self-examination monthly. Fight with us against the enemy and, when in doubt, talk to you doctor."

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and these ads are a clever way to grab your attention and remind you of the importance of self-breast exams. The Heroines' ads were originally published back in 2011.
