There was a
time where our little ones’ fear of the dark would impact the nightly bedtime
routine. The lights had to be kept on, bedroom doors opened, and an army of
stuffed animals lined the bed for protection. Instead of going to sleep it
would turn into playtime. When they finally fell
asleep and I would tiptoe into
their rooms to turn off the lights, except for the times that we would fall
asleep first.
Nightlights,
flashlights, lamps connected to automatic timers, and dimmer switches never
seemed to “solve or fix” the problem.
Bedtime wasn't the only time they were afraid of the dark. They were scared to walk down a

Allowing my
