It is unsettling the information companies have on you. Every store you shop at gives you a "rewards" card, this ensures they collect the maximum information about each of their shoppers. How often you shop and what your buying preferences are. So what is more important? Your privacy or saving money? After all you do want to save money and it's free to sign up.
