I
love wearing shirtsleeves and tank tops in the summer. Most of my tops are
white so that they will match everything in my closet. Unfortunately I end up
buying new ones every year due to the yellow stains left behind from deodorant
and sweat. This year used RAISE Armpit Stain Remover and was able to remove those stubborn yellow stains.
Product
Description:
RAISE
is a stain remover that eliminates both underarm stains as well as ring around
the collar. Raise will restore shirts to new again. RAISE works best on stains
that have not been previously treated with bleach. Bleach makes sweat stains
permanent. RAISE has been featured on The Doctor's as well as Shape Magazine's June issue.
How
to use RAISE:
Items
you need:
RAISE Armpit Stain Remover, Stained Clothing, Old Towel or Rag, Small Brush
(for tough stains), and Rubber Gloves*. Use
Outdoors or in a well Ventilated Room*
(*my suggestions)
- Use rubber gloves/ protective clothing*
- Before use, test on small hidden section of clothing for colorfastness
- Lay garment down on old towel
- Apply RAISE on effected area and rub together, use small brush for tough stains
- Let garment sit for 15-20 minutes
- Wash garment according to directions
My Review:
I tested RAISE Armpit Stain
Remover on two garments, a white tank top from American Eagle and a white nightgown
(with spaghetti straps) from Victoria’s Secret. Both garments are a few years
old and are stored in the attic during non-summer months. I was actually
surprised that I hadn’t already thrown them out due to the extent of the yellow
stains, they were much worse than depicted in the “before” picture.
RAISE successfully removed the
yellow stains making both the tank top and the nightgown wearable again, very
impressive. I would definitely use RAISE on any other garments that have underarm
stains or ring around the collar.
Although my bottle of
RAISE Armpit Stain Remover was wrapped very thoroughly the bottle still leaked during
shipping. Customer Service quickly sent another bottle and unfortunately that
bottle also leaked. This time there was still product left in the bottle for me
to sample. The seal under the cap seems to bust during shipping, hopefully
their packaging company can increase the strength of the adhesive used during
bottling.
Finally I recommend that you wear
rubber gloves and use RAISE outdoors or in a well-ventilated room since it can irritate your eyes and skin. This product dispenses quickly from bottle which can easy seep
through the towel under the garment. By placing your garment inside a plastic tub
or container prior to application will prevent this from happening. Always keep RAISE Armpit Stain Remover and other chemicals out of reach from children.

Sounded great until I read all the warnings....
ReplyDeletewow.. thats crazy. i could really use this for my BF who works in a hot wearhouse in a chemical plant all day. So many shirts get tossed out!
ReplyDeletestrong stuff but probably works, but for the money I definitely insist on a non leaky bottle cheryl d cbmd1999@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteAlthough this really does sound like a great way to save all those shirts that would normally get tossed out, I'm not sure I like the sounds of the problems you had with it and the warnings!

Do you think this product would work on yellow urine stains on my son's underwear? He's 5 now and doesn't have accidents anymore, but last year he was still having a few accidents and the urine left yellow stains. I did not bleach them. If it would work on them, I would buy some!

I like the pretreatment information!
ReplyDeleteI really want to try this but you only say white when you are talking about the stains. Does it work on Colorado too? I also think that the leaky bottle is a big problem. That really should be fixed.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is wonderful how well this product works. I would love to give it a try on my husbands work clothes.

Although this sounds like a great effective product, I'm not so excited about requiring all the ventilation and protective clothing. It sounds kind of hazardous!

Thank you for the tips on how to use this product! I'm constantly buying new white tank tops as undershirts since I can't get rid of the armpit stains! Glad to learn about a product that tackles this problem! :)

that sounds like miracle stuff to me with a house full of teens playing sports.
ReplyDeleteI would love to find a product that does all that this one promises - WITHOUT all the downsides, which taken all -together just seem to me to outweigh the obvious pluses of the product!
ReplyDeleteToo bad - having a a product like that could and would save a lot of money and aggravation! But between the fumes and your not one but TWO inexcusably bad experience with their packaging and shipping - it sounds to me like they should just suspend sales until they work out all the kinks!
