Korable Block
"Fun with the Korean Alphabet- Full Set"

Children are like sponges, effortlessly learning new information with ease. Korable Block can teach your child the Korean alphabet through engaging puzzle games.

What is Korable Block?

Korable Block is an educational and interactive tool for learning the Korean alphabet. New York City Designer, Si-Yeon Min created this one of a kind Korean language game. Korable Block is made of four wooden blocks with hand-printed with the Korean alphabet. Combining the blocks creates over 120 single-syllable words including foods, numbers, and more. Korable Block is handmade in the USA. The set is solid and has a clean and modern look to it.

Three Games = Fun and Learning

As soon as I set out Korable Block on the table, the children were mesmerized by them.  After carefully examining each side they were ready to play.  We came up with three games with the blocks.
  1.  Each child grabbed 2 blocks and rolled them as dice. We then searched through the “guide book” for the corresponding word that it represents and pronounced the Korean word.
  2. One child picked a word from the “guide book” and the other child had to duplicate the picture using the blocks. Again we all said the word in Korean.
  3. I made a word using the blocks and had the children find it in the “guide book” and then say the Korean word.

Conclusion

My child was very disappointed when his cousin had to go home and took Korean Block with him. Joey was adopted from Korea 3 years ago, when he was only 10 months old. Our family has been learning about the Korean culture so it will always be a part of Joey’s life.
His parents have reported that because of the frequent "play" with the Korable Block, Joey has learned to identify most of the Korean alphabet and words and so have they. They were originally intimidated with the Korean language but because of Korable blocks they feel more comfortable and eager to expand their knowledge.
My review was done with children ages 4-6 years old and I was learning Korean words and symbols with them. Korean block is a perfect learning tool to for adopted children, Korean- American families, or any family looking to expand their language skills. Korean block can be used in a school, home school, or Montessori school setting with children of a variety of ages. The set is durable and well made so that it can be enjoyed for years. Add Korable Blocks to your child's "play time"
